Pure Goodness

For those who don't know about James Randi's $1,000,000 challenge, you should definitely check it out. Basically it's an open call to put up or shut up. Prove your claim under the scrutiny of science and win a million bucks.

The only attribute of this contest that I am leery of is this verbiage: "under proper observing conditions". This is of course determined by the James Randi Foundation. While proving a claim under the circumstances engineered by those with interest in disproving your claim may prove to be a challenge, I personally think you will be given all of the leeway that science will allow.

Bottom line, I honestly trust the foundation to seek and gather results that will indeed be scientifically accurate.

Bring it on!

This company is nowhere near alone in its claim just google free energy company .

The subject of free, renewable and safe energy is of interest to everyone.... well unless you're a Swahili earth shaman or something. Why then hasn't any significant progress been made in the harnessing of energy since the invention of the nuclear reactor? Billions have been thrown at this problem, all to no avail. Why?

When we look at fields like physics, computers, personal electronics where our technology has increased exponentially in usability, safety and performance, we have arguably seen little to no advance in how we harness our environment to make all of our gadgets go 'whir'. You will note that I don't include medicine in this list. And here's why.

It's all about ROI. Return on Investment. For people whose job it is to make you feel better, they are enriched more by treating the symptoms rather than finding a cure. I know, I know, it's inflammatory and suggests all kinds of hoopla, but the reality is those who are paid to find cures are paid more to treat symptoms.... And there is no denial of that fact.

I would argue that the same logic applies to Energy. Those forces that are in place have far more to gain by supplying us with oil than providing us with a safer and cheaper method to provide us energy. The fox now stoically guards the hen-house.

Pretty simple logic.... then here come the Charlatans.

Think about the investment meetings at one of these free energy company's venture capital raising rounds. How easy is it to sell stock for pennies that could potentially be the grandest of all things man has accomplished. I'm not much of a salesman, but I think even I could pull that one off - Using the exact same logic I've said above.

The bottom line is this...
Until the physics community accepts the zero point field into standard curriculum, there is no hard-line scientific evidence that it is real. They abuse the customer's lack of physics background and lead them to believe that their scientists know more than the general scientific community. This is bullshit!

If Steorn makes an announcement that is supported by the majority of the physics community, then I will eat my words with ketchup.

"Free Energy" claim coming due on Friday the 13th

This sentence speaks for itself. The sheer enormity of this claim is beyond compare. Given that they're releasing this "free energy" technology on Friday the 13th... I smell a significant degree of bullshit. The world will see in 2 days. I will be checking in on them at that time.

The vast majority of the free energy claims stem from the theory of Zero Point Energy . I'm no physicist, but it seems this concept would never reach fruition. Harvesting energy from the zero point field would be super sweet, but is it a realistic solution?

Sure, it would be nice to not have to worry about energy anymore... But do you seriously believe that this would EVER be allowed to be produced? These folks need to get real. With trillions invested in existing energy sources, big oil would NOT allow this to happen.
