"Free Energy" claim coming due on Friday the 13th

Steorn.com:

Orbo produces free, clean and constant energy - that is our claim.

This sentence speaks for itself. The sheer enormity of this claim is beyond compare. Given that they're releasing this "free energy" technology on Friday the 13th... I smell a significant degree of bullshit. The world will see in 2 days. I will be checking in on them at that time.

The vast majority of the free energy claims stem from the theory of Zero Point Energy . I'm no physicist, but it seems this concept would never reach fruition. Harvesting energy from the zero point field would be super sweet, but is it a realistic solution?

Sure, it would be nice to not have to worry about energy anymore... But do you seriously believe that this would EVER be allowed to be produced? These folks need to get real. With trillions invested in existing energy sources, big oil would NOT allow this to happen.

Comments are welcome, and especially welcome from physicists, oil tycoons and NSA blackops folks.

From what I understand, the Orbo technology will not be released on Friday. Instead, a 5 minute video will be released. I'm not very clear on exactly what information will be contained in said video, but you can rest assured that they won't be revealing the intricate details of their technology. I've come across statements by the company's CEO saying that they're going to be giving a public demonstration of the technology in July but will not be publishing the finer technical points until their "validation process" has been completed, which may not be until the end of the year.

I'm pessimistic about the validity of their claims, especially since it seems to be based on nothing more than a special configuration of magnets, but if it does work I doubt very strongly that "big oil" will be able to stop them from coming to market. Steorn has, for all it's faults, waged a successful publicity campaign that has and will again put them squarely into the public spotlight and no matter how complacent the general population is, it would be quite difficult to make them forget a working prototype (if indeed Steorn is capable of delivering one).
